Below are a pair of crucifixes that I purchased locally years ago. I've always had a fascination with these Christian symbols of Jesus' death at the hands of the Romans. The first crucifix is made entirely of wood (metal hinges). Its age is indeterminate, though it is obviously ancient. The second crucifix probably dates to the USA 1920s or 30s, and is of glass, metal, and some organic material. Both are beautiful.
