PHOTOS - Dug treasures 2

Rare drummer's insignia or badge, dug from a yankee camp north of Vicksburg.

Tokens were lost as well as coins. These are a few of the better ones I've retrieved.

One of many Schenkl shells I dug from the hills of Vicksburg.

James type II shells in front, Parrotts in the rear.

An extremely rare Confederate Texas Artillery button, this one was found in a creek inside Vicksburg city limits. Very few collectors have one of these in their collections.

Scuba diving in the local rivers has been one of the my most enjoyable pastimes. I found this ring in the Yazoo River. It's intricately tooled, a most beautiful work of art. There are no markings inside, so its prior owner will remain unidentifiable.

One of the several Confederate belt plates I've dug over the years. This CSA rectangular buckle from the Battle of Chickasaw Bayou is in very good condition, with all three hooks intact. It would fetch some $3,000.00 in today's collector market.
